About the course
Deakin’s Graduate Certificate of Public Health builds foundational postgraduate capability in public health practice, policy and health systems. You’ll develop skills in epidemiology and biostatistics to interpret evidence and design interventions that improve community wellbeing, with a focus on prevention and health equity. Study part-time on campus or online, with learning informed by Deakin’s public health research. This graduate certificate prepares you for public health practice.
Career outcome
Graduates can contribute to population health planning, prevention programs and health system improvement across government, community organisations, NGOs and healthcare services. Skills in epidemiology, biostatistics and evidence-informed policy support roles in public health teams, project and program support, health promotion, policy and strategy development, and data-informed decision-making.
