About the course

Deakin’s Master of Public Health develops the knowledge and practical skills to protect and improve population health. You’ll learn to tackle complex global health challenges using evidence-based approaches, and can tailor the degree through pathway-focused electives such as epidemiology, health promotion, health economics, nutrition, humanitarian assistance, and disability and inclusion. Study on campus or online while building professional networks for leadership in public health practice.

Career outcome

Graduates can pursue roles across government, NGOs, health services and research organisations, working to prevent disease and improve community wellbeing. Career paths may include public health officer, epidemiology or surveillance roles, health promotion specialist, policy and program adviser, health services planning and evaluation, and project leadership in humanitarian or disability inclusion settings.
