About the course
This first-year science stream is a curated set of related units designed for students studying an LLB/BSc pathway at Curtin. It helps you build core scientific knowledge and skills in your first year while remaining part of an eligible bachelor degree, including science single and selected double-degree options. It is studied within your chosen undergraduate degree in the sciences. The programme builds legal reasoning, case analysis, and professional ethics for legal practice and public service pathways.

Completing this first-year science stream supports progression into Curtin science bachelor and double-degree pathways, helping you develop foundational scientific capability for later specialised study. Depending on the degree you continue into, it can underpin careers across laboratory and field science, research support, environmental and resource sectors, and science-related roles that complement law–science study.
