About the course
This graduate-entry Bachelor of Laws lets degree holders from other disciplines fast-track an accredited law qualification in three years. You study core law areas in VU’s intensive Block Model, with options for some online units to balance work and family commitments. Based at VU’s City Campus near Melbourne’s legal precinct, you’ll learn with experienced academics and industry-connected staff and gain practical exposure through partnerships with courts and community legal services. This is a Bachelor-level law programme.
Career outcome
Graduates are prepared for roles across corporate, commercial, community and government legal settings, supported by practical exposure to the justice system and training in advocacy, ethical judgement, communication and legal research. The course meets academic requirements for admission to legal practice in Victoria (with further practical requirements applying), creating pathways to become a solicitor or barrister, or to work in legal policy, compliance, corporate governance and community legal services. This is a Bachelor-level pathway in Law.
