About the course

This honours bachelor degree prepares you to become a professional occupational therapist who helps people and communities participate in everyday life. You’ll build foundations in biomedical, behavioural and occupational sciences and develop communication and evidence-based practice skills. The program includes hands-on professional placements to apply learning in real settings. This is an undergraduate Honours qualification in Occupational Therapy. The programme develops clinical skills, patient care fundamentals, and health sciences knowledge for registered practice pathways.

Career outcome

Graduates can work across public and private health and community services, supporting people of all ages with disability, injury, chronic illness and mental health challenges. Employment settings include hospitals, rehabilitation services, community and aged care, disability services and industry. Typical roles include Occupational Therapist, case manager/care coordinator, disability services manager, hand therapist, injury management advisor, lifestyle coordinator and rehabilitation consultant.
