About the course
James Cook University’s Bachelor of Occupational Therapy (Honours) prepares you to support people living with injury, illness or disability to participate in everyday activities. You’ll learn in a practical, hands-on environment and complete extensive supervised professional placements (1,000+ hours), including experience with real clients through the JCU Health Occupational Therapy clinic. This is an undergraduate honours qualification in occupational therapy. The programme develops clinical skills, patient care fundamentals, and health sciences knowledge for registered practice pathways.
Career outcome
Graduates can work as occupational therapists across hospitals, community health, rehabilitation services, disability and aged-care settings, mental health, paediatrics and private practice.
