About the course
Bond University’s Professional Doctorate of Occupational Therapy (OTD) is a doctoral qualification combining advanced study with an industry-based capstone internship and doctoral-level research. It builds on the accelerated Master of Occupational Therapy to develop high-level clinical, business and research capability to address real-world practice issues with industry partners and academic mentors, contributing new knowledge to the profession. This is a doctoral-level program in Occupational Therapy.
Career outcome
Graduates are prepared for advanced and leadership-focused occupational therapy careers across health, education and social care settings. The program’s applied doctoral research and industry capstone support pathways into clinical leadership, service and program development, policy and advocacy roles, research administration, and education.
