Opening a bank account

It is advisable for students to open a bank account in your first week of arrival. You just need to visit the nearest bank with your acceptance offer letter, passport, and visa to open a bank account.

The account opening process will take up to 2 weeks and they will mail your bank card to the address or you can pick it up from the branch where you opened the account. Therefore, ensure you have enough cash or an overseas credit card available to make transactions before your new account is ready.
