About the course

Certificate III in Hospitality prepares you for work in fast-paced cafes, restaurants, hotels and pubs. You’ll build practical customer service, sales and operational skills and learn to work confidently to industry standards. Training includes Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA), food safety and barista skills, supporting multi-skilling for a range of service roles in hospitality at certificate level. The programme introduces business operations, customer service, and administrative leadership for commercial workplaces.

Career outcome

Graduates can pursue entry-level roles across hospitality venues such as cafes, bars, restaurants, hotels and functions. Typical pathways include espresso coffee machine operator, food and beverage attendant, waiter, restaurant or function host/attendant, and senior bar attendant. The Certificate III level supports job-ready skills for front-of-house service, beverage service and events work in the hospitality industry. Preparing graduates for supervisory, administration, and business support roles, or degree articulation.

Entry requirements

All applicants must complete a literacy and numeracy review prior to enrolment. Students must be over 18 years old to serve alcoholic beverages in their workplace.
