You build practical skills in sketching, basic pattern modification, understanding fibres and fabrics, and using electronic fashion design tools, supported by industry-experienced teachers. Graduates produce a portfolio and are prepared for further study and entry-level roles in fashion. This is a Certificate II/III pathway in fashion and textiles. The programme trains digital design tools, visual production, and portfolio development for creative workplaces.

Career outcome

Graduates can pursue entry-level work in the fashion and textiles sector, supporting design and product development activities. Typical pathways include roles such as fashion design assistant or junior assistant in studios, small labels and related apparel workplaces, using foundational skills in sketch interpretation, pattern adjustments, fabric knowledge and basic digital design tools. This dual Certificate II/III supports progression into further VET study and early fashion industry employment.
