About the course
The Bachelor of Design develops creative and practical design capabilities to address contemporary challenges through user-centred thinking and making. You’ll explore design processes, visual communication and applied problem-solving, with learning delivered on campus in a blended environment. Study is available at UC’s Bruce campus in Canberra and at South Bank in Queensland. This is an undergraduate design qualification. The programme develops design, animation, visual storytelling, and digital media production for creative industries.
Career outcome
Graduates can pursue design roles across studio, industry and community contexts, applying creative thinking to real-world problems. Career pathways may include roles in communication and visual design, digital and service design, user experience-focused work, and design support within business, government and not-for-profit organisations. Opportunities vary with electives and project experience gained during study. This is an undergraduate pathway into the design profession. Preparing graduates for graphic design, multimedia production, advertising, and creative studio roles.

An IELTS Academic score of 6.0 overall, with no band score below 6.0 (or equivalent).
