About the course
This Advanced Diploma develops high-level skills for apparel, fashion and textiles design and product development, combining creative practice with management capability. You’ll explore innovation and emerging technologies such as virtual 3D sampling, alongside ethical and sustainable product stewardship and circular-economy thinking. The course includes a supervised industry work placement to apply your learning in a real workplace setting. This is an Advanced Diploma in fashion and textiles within Design & Visual Art.
Career outcome
Graduates are prepared for advanced roles across fashion design, product development and production management. Career paths may include fashion entrepreneur, designer, product developer, senior patternmaker, garment technologist, CAD operator, pattern designer/patternmaker, production manager or specialised construction machinist. Skills gained support work in design studios, apparel manufacturing and supply chains, with an emphasis on sustainability and modern digital workflows.
