The Screen Arts major prepares you for work in the growing screen-based media industry by building creative storytelling and production capability. You’ll develop practical and analytical skills, explore cinema history and screen theory, and apply these to factual and dramatic screen projects. Using advanced facilities, you’ll strengthen technical production and post-production skills, culminating in a major industry-standard screen production in your final year within a bachelor degree.

Graduates can pursue roles across film, television and digital screen production, supported by experience with professional workflows and facilities. Career paths may include director, producer or production assistant, camera operator or director of photography, sound recordist/designer, editor, post-production producer, scriptwriter, and screen critic or curator. Opportunities extend to related sectors such as advertising, marketing, tourism and events, with outcomes aligned to bachelor-level study in screen media.
