About the course
The Graduate Diploma of Theological Studies provides a graduate-entry pathway into theology for students who already hold an undergraduate degree. It supports deeper engagement with the Bible and Christian tradition while exploring meaning and spirituality within Australia’s culturally and religiously diverse context. The course includes eight subjects (core and electives) and offers an exit option to the Graduate Certificate after four subjects, at graduate diploma level in theological studies.
Career outcome
This course can support progression to further postgraduate study or prepare you for roles connected to faith-based and community contexts. Graduates may pursue pathways in ministry, church leadership and chaplaincy, as well as work with church-run non-government organisations and mission-focused settings. The programme also strengthens transferable skills such as communication, critical thinking, judgement and problem-solving, relevant across a range of professional environments in theological and ministry-related work.
