About the course
The Bachelor of Science with Honours is a one-year, advanced undergraduate programme for high-performing science graduates who want to deepen expertise in a chosen discipline. You’ll complete a substantial supervised research project alongside advanced study, building capability in scientific inquiry, experimental design and data analysis. This honours year strengthens critical thinking and communication and can provide a pathway to higher research degrees in science. The programme develops laboratory techniques, scientific writing, and analytical methods for research and industry settings.

Graduates are prepared for roles that value advanced scientific analysis and research capability across government, environmental and laboratory services, and science-based industries. The honours research experience supports work in research assistant and analyst positions and strengthens competitiveness for specialist roles requiring independent investigation and reporting.
