About the course
Designed for high-achieving students, this Bachelor of Science (Advanced) offers a specialised pathway with a double major and opportunities for research and industry experience. You can undertake a semester-long third-year project to build advanced experimental design, data analysis and critical problem-solving skills. The Co-operative Model connects learning with employers through structured, paid placements and career development to produce work-ready science graduates.
Career outcome
Depending on your chosen double major, graduates may work in government or the private sector across medical and earth sciences, environmental management and planning, analytical laboratories, health and sustainability, consultancy, or research. Common roles include biological scientist, chemist, forensic scientist, geneticist, immunologist, laboratory analyst, microbiologist and research scientist. This specialised Bachelor of Science (Advanced) also supports progression to honours and postgraduate study in science disciplines.
