About the course

This combined degree integrates accredited civil engineering training with core business knowledge to broaden career options. You’ll build capability across structural, water and geotechnical engineering while learning to design, build and manage major infrastructure such as transport networks, tunnels, airports and water assets. Business studies develop skills in management, finance, leadership and entrepreneurship. You can complete both qualifications in five years full-time in civil engineering and business.

Career outcome

Graduates can work across engineering consultancies, construction and infrastructure owners, government and utilities, with the added capability to move into management or commercial roles. Typical pathways include civil engineering designer, structural engineer, geotechnical engineer, transport systems engineer, urban development engineer and water engineer. The combined qualification also supports progression into project leadership, business development and entrepreneurial ventures in civil engineering and business.
