About the course
The Standard Foundation Program at QUT College is a one-year pathway designed for international students who need to meet academic and English requirements before entering the first year of a QUT bachelor degree. You study academic English, digital studies and discipline-related units in a supportive learning community at Kelvin Grove, with access to QUT facilities and student services. This is a Foundation Studies pathway across disciplines, including engineering-related streams. The programme strengthens mathematics, physics, and engineering basics for undergraduate engineering entry.
Career outcome
This program prepares you to progress into the first year of a QUT bachelor degree by building academic English, study skills and discipline-specific foundations. On completion (and meeting progression requirements), you can move into undergraduate study in areas such as business, education, engineering, IT, design or health. Career outcomes depend on the bachelor degree you progress into; this Foundation Studies program supports entry to engineering and other undergraduate pathways.
