About the course
This vertical double degree combines nutrition science with professional dietetics training, letting you graduate with a master qualification in four years. You’ll build strong scientific foundations in nutrition and learn how food influences health across individuals and populations. The course includes hands-on learning with real clients in QUT Health Clinics plus supervised professional placements, preparing you for accredited practice in nutrition and dietetics at bachelor-to-masters level.
Career outcome
Graduates can pursue careers as dietitians and/or nutritionists across clinical and community health settings and related industries. Typical pathways include hospital and outpatient dietetics, community and public health nutrition programs, foodservice and aged-care nutrition, sports and performance nutrition support, private practice and corporate wellness roles. Opportunities also extend to roles in food and health research, government and not-for-profit health organisations, and health communication, using nutrition and dietetics expertise at master level.
