About the course
This honours year in music is designed as a capstone for music or secondary music education graduates, strengthening musical professionalism through advanced study. You can pursue specialist music research and/or a creative portfolio project while developing higher-level analytical and scholarly skills. The course is available online or on campus and is intended to prepare you for a rapidly changing music industry and further postgraduate study in music. The programme develops design, animation, visual storytelling, and digital media production for creative industries.

Graduates may use the honours year to enhance prospects in the contemporary music sector through advanced research, analysis and portfolio development. Outcomes can support work in areas such as performance and creative practice, composition/production pathways, arts and cultural roles, and music-related education or community settings.
