About the course
This AQF Level 5 Diploma develops practical and theoretical capabilities for work in the contemporary music industry. You’ll build skills across performance, creation and composition, and sound/production, with assessment of specialised technical and managerial competencies. Delivered within ECU’s multi-disciplinary performing arts academy, the course offers exposure to frequent live performances and options to specialise in music production or performance pathways in the Diploma-level music discipline.
Career outcome
Graduates may pursue entry-level roles across the music and performing arts sector, applying skills in live and studio contexts. Career directions can include performing as an instrumentalist or vocalist, composing and arranging, supporting productions as a sound or music production assistant, and working with events or venues. The qualification also supports further study and portfolio development for professional pathways in the Diploma-level performing arts and music discipline.
