About the course
The Bachelor of Health Sciences (Honours) is a one-year full-time program that builds advanced research capability in health sciences. You’ll undertake an individual research project with academic supervision, supported by lectures and seminars. Projects can span healthcare practice, topical health issues, and interventions aimed at improving health outcomes. This Honours year develops rigorous research and analytical skills within Health Sciences at bachelor honours level.
Career outcome
Graduates gain research training and transferable skills suited to roles in health research, evaluation and policy. The program supports progression to research assistant and project officer roles in universities, hospitals, government and health organisations, and strengthens preparation for further study such as a PhD. Skills in planning, conducting and reporting research are also valuable in evidence-based practice and health service improvement. This is a bachelor honours qualification in Health Sciences.
