About the course
This Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing) prepares you for entry-level work in residential and in-home aged care. You’ll build communication and client-support skills, understand legal and ethical responsibilities, and learn infection control and healthy body systems. Training develops practical capabilities such as assisting with mobility, personal care and recognising dementia-related needs, supported by work placement. The programme builds patient care fundamentals, clinical assistance skills, and health workplace practice.
Career outcome
Graduates can pursue roles supporting older people in community and residential care services. You may work assisting clients with daily living, personal care, mobility and wellbeing while following safe work practices and ethical requirements. Typical opportunities include Care Assistant and Community Care Worker positions within aged care providers and home-care organisations at Certificate III level.
