About the course
This degree qualifies you to teach children from birth to 12 years across early childhood and primary settings. You develop strong foundations in pedagogy and inclusive practice, with options to specialise in areas such as literacy, numeracy or religious education. The course integrates theory with extensive supervised placements across both sectors and may include an overseas community engagement opportunity. It is a Bachelor-level initial teacher education programme in Education & Teaching.
Career outcome
Graduates can pursue work as early childhood and primary teachers across government, Catholic, independent and other faith-based schools. Career pathways also extend to education policy, community and inclusive education settings, private colleges, education roles in organisations outside schools, and specialist support contexts such as youth or adult correctional facilities. Opportunities in research and special education are also noted. This is a Bachelor qualification in Education & Teaching.
