This entry-level Certificate III is designed for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students to build foundational skills to work as an educator in early childhood education and care settings. It meets the minimum qualification requirement for many early childhood roles in Australia and supports practical, job-ready capability for a growing sector. This is a Certificate III qualification in Education & Teaching. The programme develops classroom assistance skills, child development knowledge, and educational support practice.
Career outcome
Graduates may seek roles supporting the care, learning and development of young children in early childhood services. Typical pathways include working as an early childhood educator or assistant educator in long day care, kindergarten and other early learning settings, supporting program implementation and daily routines under guidance.
