About the course

This double degree combines architectural design with urban and regional planning to help you shape neighbourhoods, cities and regions. You’ll explore design thinking alongside planning for livability, sustainability and community needs, developing skills to balance social, economic, environmental and cultural considerations. Study prepares you for large-scale place-making and infrastructure projects, and can provide a pathway to further professional architecture study. This is an undergraduate architecture and built environment programme.

Career outcome

Graduates can work across architecture-adjacent design and urban planning roles, supporting the development and renewal of suburbs, cities and regions. Careers may include urban or regional planner, urban designer, planning consultant, development or infrastructure planning officer, and roles in strategic land-use and community planning. Opportunities exist with private developers, planning and design consultancies, and local or state government agencies. This is a bachelor-level pathway in architecture and built environment.
