About the course
The Bachelor of Actuarial Studies (Co-op) at UNSW combines rigorous actuarial training with integrated, paid industry placements through the Co-op Program. You’ll build strong foundations in mathematics, statistics, finance and risk modelling, and apply them to real business problems. The co-op structure helps you develop professional networks and workplace-ready skills while completing a four-year bachelor degree in actuarial science. The programme introduces accounting standards, taxation basics, and financial reporting for professional accreditation pathways.
Career outcome
Graduates can pursue actuarial and quantitative careers across insurance, superannuation, banking, investment and consulting, as well as risk management and analytics roles in government and industry.
