Overview

Han Chiang University College of Communication (HCUC) is a not-for-profit institution with over 100 years of educational heritage, committed to providing affordable and quality education. Established in 1999 and elevated to university college status in 2017, HCUC is recognised as the first university college of communication in Malaysia. The institution focuses on nurturing future-ready graduates through quality teaching and industry-oriented learning.

HCUC offers a diverse range of programmes in Communication and Media Studies, Applied Creative Arts and Design, Business and Management, as well as Chinese Studies. The institution is also the first in northern Malaysia to offer Diploma, Degree, Master’s, and PhD programmes in Chinese Studies. Its programmes are designed to equip students with both academic knowledge and practical industry skills.

With experienced lecturers and a holistic learning environment, HCUC emphasises creativity, innovation, and employability. Students are encouraged to develop professional competencies, leadership qualities, and critical thinking skills through academic and co-curricular activities.
