About the course
This double degree combines an undergraduate Bachelor of Science with the graduate Doctor of Medicine, giving you a strong grounding in scientific principles that underpin medicine. You complete science core units plus a major (and a minor or second major), then progress into accredited clinical medical training with research components. The seven-year full-time program is delivered face to face at Camperdown/Darlington and prepares you for medical study and practice in Medicine at bachelor-to-doctoral level.
Career outcome
Graduates are prepared to progress into medical training and future clinical practice, supported by a solid science foundation and substantial supervised clinical experience. The program develops capabilities relevant to patient care, diagnostics and therapy, population and Indigenous health, professionalism, and evidence-informed decision-making, alongside research experience. Preparing graduates for health research, clinical leadership, and doctoral study in nursing and health sciences.
