About the course
This Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Palliative Care and End of Life offers advanced research training focused on improving end-of-life care for individuals and families. You will work within Flinders’ Research Centre for Palliative Care, Death and Dying, joining a collaborative, interdisciplinary research culture with links to health services, government and community partners. The PhD emphasises impactful research that informs practice, services and policy in palliative and end-of-life care within Health Sciences.
Career outcome
Graduates are prepared for senior, research-led roles that shape end-of-life care across clinical services and the wider community. Career pathways may include palliative care leadership, health leadership and practice roles, research positions, policy and engagement work, advocacy and management roles. Employers can include hospitals, aged-care providers, government and public service organisations, councils, community organisations and universities. This is a PhD / Doctoral qualification aligned to Health Sciences and palliative care research.
