About the course

The Master of Clinical Rehabilitation is designed for qualified health professionals to advance expertise in rehabilitation across diverse clinical and community contexts. The course is structured around theory and practice, research and innovation, and rehabilitation in context, and allows you to tailor study to professional interests such as women’s health, paediatrics, neurology, acute care and musculoskeletal rehabilitation. It also develops leadership and health advocacy capabilities alongside contemporary best-practice rehabilitation approaches.

What you might learn

Students develop advanced capability to plan, implement and evaluate rehabilitation strategies using evidence-based and holistic approaches. The course builds knowledge of physiology of fitness and conditioning, pathophysiology of common conditions, and principles of human function and disability across lifespan and settings. Graduates strengthen practical skills including exercise prescription, goal setting, behaviour modification, fitness evaluation and selection of appropriate outcome measures.

Career outcome

Graduates are prepared for advanced or specialist rehabilitation roles across hospitals, community health services and multidisciplinary clinical settings. The program supports career progression for allied health professionals by enhancing expertise in assessment, rehabilitation program design and review, and health promotion across varied populations and conditions.
