About the course

Deakin’s Graduate Certificate of Health Research Practice builds practical research capability for graduates from any health discipline. Delivered online and completed part-time across two trimesters, you undertake a supervised research project from topic selection and literature review through to proposal development, data work and thesis writing. The course supports progression into a Master by Research or PhD and strengthens applied research skills in health sciences.

Career outcome

This course prepares you for roles that involve planning, reviewing, coordinating or implementing health research projects across universities, health services, government and community organisations. You will gain experience completing a supervised research project and develop skills in research ethics, literature appraisal, data management and communicating findings.
