About the course
This four-year doctoral program combines a substantial original research thesis in clinical psychology with supervised field placements and relevant coursework. You will develop advanced research capability and clinical training in a specialised area, supported by expert supervision and professional practice experiences. The course is designed to prepare scientist-practitioners for doctoral-level work in Psychology. The programme develops research expertise in human behaviour, psychological measurement, and evidence-based intervention design.
Career outcome
Graduates may be eligible to become a registered psychologist and work across a range of mental health settings. The degree also supports careers in research, academia and policy roles, drawing on advanced evidence-based training and clinical experience gained through placements and coursework. Entry requirements
Applicants must hold an approved honours degree or fourth-year equivalent qualification with honours class 1 or upper 2A in psychology from a recognised tertiary institution.
