About the course
Macquarie’s four-year graduate-entry Doctor of Medicine embeds you in Macquarie University Health, an integrated health centre environment. You’ll build clinical capability using advanced simulation and technology, undertake diverse hospital placements (including opportunities overseas), and complete an integrated, research-active project over the degree. The program is designed to prepare you for contemporary medical practice through hands-on learning and progressive clinical exposure in a doctoral-level medicine qualification.
Career outcome
Graduates are prepared to progress toward medical internship and registration pathways, supported by an accredited program aligned to Australian medical standards. Career outcomes typically include working as a junior doctor/intern and then pursuing specialist training across hospital and community settings, such as general practice, surgery, physician specialties, emergency medicine, paediatrics and other clinical disciplines.
