About the course
UWA’s Doctor of Dental Medicine is a four-year, on-campus professional doctorate that prepares graduates for contemporary dental practice through clinically focused training supported by dedicated staff and modern facilities. You’ll develop the knowledge, technical skills and professional capabilities needed to deliver patient-centred oral healthcare and progress into supervised clinical experience. This is a doctoral-level qualification in Dentistry. The programme advances health sciences research through evidence-based inquiry, clinical context, and supervised thesis development.
Career outcome
Graduates can apply to register with the Dental Board of Australia as a dentist. Career opportunities include working in private dental clinics or public dental services, providing preventative and restorative care and managing a wide range of oral health needs.
