About the course
The General English Program (45 Weeks) at QUT College helps international students improve English for study, work and everyday life. You develop reading, writing, speaking and listening skills through interactive, task-based classes in small groups, with placement into an appropriate level from Elementary to Advanced. The program builds fluency, accuracy and confidence, and can support progression to further English study and pathways toward QUT courses in English & Modern Languages at an English language program level.
Career outcome
This program strengthens practical English communication for social, academic and workplace settings, supporting improved confidence, vocabulary and pronunciation. Graduates receive a completion certificate detailing study length, attendance and exit level, which can help evidence language development for employers or further study planning. It is primarily a language upskilling and pathway program rather than a direct-entry qualification, aligned with English & Modern Languages at an English language program level.
