About the course
QUT College’s General English Program (15 weeks) helps international students improve everyday and workplace English while building confidence to communicate socially and professionally. You study core skills—reading, writing, speaking and listening—in small, interactive classes with task-based activities and regular progress feedback. The program supports different starting levels and can prepare you for further language study before progressing to degree study in English & Modern Languages.
Career outcome
This program strengthens practical English for study, work and daily life, helping you communicate more confidently and accurately in social and professional settings. Completion provides a certificate showing your study length, attendance and exit level, which can support applications for further English-for-academic programs and pathway study. It is an English language programme (Others level) focused on improving capability in English & Modern Languages. Preparing graduates for education-related roles and further study pathways matched to the programme level.
