About the course
Flinders’ Electronic Warfare postgraduate suite is designed for Defence and Defence Industry personnel with NV1 clearance, building specialist capability in sensing and electromagnetic systems critical to Australia’s sovereign defence. You’ll develop advanced knowledge across radar, satellite navigation, electro‑optics, secure communications, and electromagnetic wave propagation, supported by simulation, data-driven analysis, and professional practice in secure environments. This is postgraduate training focused on electronic warfare engineering in defence and security.
Career outcome
Graduates may progress in Australian Defence Force and defence-sector roles focused on advanced sensing, surveillance, navigation and secure communications. Potential occupations include radio frequency engineer, telecommunications engineer, electronic warfare operator, ML/AI software engineer, and military satellite communications (SATCOM) specialist. Entry requirements
Only offered to Defence/Defence Industry personnel with at least NV1 clearance and a Bachelor degree (or equivalent) in engineering, physics or applied mathematics.
