About the course
This double-major honours engineering degree combines mining engineering and environmental engineering to prepare you to tackle resource development alongside environmental management. You’ll study on campus at Wollongong, develop strong problem-solving and professional networks, and build the technical foundation for work across mining operations, sustainability and environmental impact practice. It is a Bachelor Degree / Honours Degree in engineering. The programme combines engineering fundamentals, design projects, and industry-ready technical problem-solving skills.

Graduates may work across mining, resources and environmental sectors in roles that connect extraction, processing and sustainability. Career paths can include mining engineer, environmental engineer, metallurgist, geologist, climate change adviser and resource or sustainability planning roles, supporting operations, compliance, rehabilitation and environmental performance.
