About the course
The Climate Change Science Minor introduces the science underpinning climate change and the environmental challenges that result from it. You’ll explore how climate systems are changing, what drives these changes, and the impacts on natural and human environments, alongside approaches and solutions to address and manage climate-related risks. This undergraduate minor is designed to complement a bachelor degree through a focused set of four units in environmental science.
Career outcome
This minor can support careers where climate literacy and environmental problem-solving are valued. Graduates may apply these skills in sustainability and climate adaptation roles across government, consulting, industry and community organisations, contributing to emissions reduction planning, environmental management and climate risk communication. It can also strengthen pathways into further study or roles that incorporate climate considerations within business, innovation or science-focused work. This undergraduate minor builds capability in environmental science contexts.
