About the course
The Bachelor of Science (Honours) - SMAH (Chemistry) is a one-year honours program focused on advanced scientific inquiry in chemistry. You’ll build research capability through supervised project work, strengthening your analytical and critical thinking skills while investigating real scientific questions. Study is on campus at Wollongong and can be undertaken full-time or part-time equivalent as an honours qualification in the sciences. The programme develops laboratory techniques, scientific writing, and analytical methods for research and industry settings.
Career outcome
Graduates can pursue chemistry-focused roles across laboratory and research settings, including analytical chemistry, synthetic chemistry and quality control.
