About the course
This combined program prepares graduates for primary classroom teaching while also building the knowledge and certification to teach Religious Education in Catholic schools. You will develop broad curriculum and pedagogy skills across all primary learning areas, with a teaching specialisation aligned to your prior study. The course includes extensive supervised professional experience to build classroom readiness in an accredited initial teacher education pathway in Education & Teaching at master level.
Career outcome
Graduates can seek registration as primary school teachers in government, independent and Catholic or other faith-based schools, supported by an accredited initial teacher education qualification. The added Graduate Certificate in Religious Education supports roles teaching Religious Education in Catholic settings and strengthens capability for values-based schooling.
