About the course

This online degree prepares you to support children and adults with disability and diverse needs using inclusive, human-rights based practice. You’ll develop skills in evidence-based interventions, therapeutic supports and positive behaviour support, and learn to work effectively with families and multidisciplinary teams across community settings. The course includes practical placements and can be studied from anywhere in Australia as a four-year bachelor programme in disability and developmental education.

Career outcome

Graduates can work in disability and community services as developmental educators and positive behaviour support practitioners, supporting people across early intervention, community and aged care contexts. Roles may include developmental educator, behaviour support practitioner, NDIS support coordinator, case manager, program coordinator or disability employment consultant. Employment opportunities include disability support providers, government/NDIS, non-government agencies, private organisations or self-employment with a bachelor qualification in disability and developmental education.
