About the course
This combined Master of Teaching (Early Childhood and Primary) and Graduate Certificate in Religious Education prepares graduates to teach across early childhood and primary settings while advocating for children’s rights and high-quality learning. It builds professional knowledge, skills and attitudes for effective practice in community and research contexts, and adds Catholic religious education certification and capability for teaching Religious Education in Catholic schools.
Career outcome
Graduates can pursue roles across early childhood and primary schooling, including teaching in government, independent and Catholic settings, with added preparation to teach Religious Education in Catholic schools. Career pathways also include education research, play-based learning specialist roles, curriculum development, education consulting, and policy-related work.
