About the course
This double degree combines secondary teacher education with arts studies to broaden your teaching scope and disciplinary depth. You’ll build capability to teach up to two secondary subjects through extensive professional placement, alongside humanities and social science learning that develops critical thinking and cultural understanding. Choose an Arts major in Creative Writing, Humanities or Social Sciences and complete a supervised research project. It is a Bachelor-level program in Education & Teaching with an Arts focus.
Career outcome
Graduates can pursue secondary school teaching roles, leveraging professional placement experience and preparation to teach in up to two subject areas. The Arts component also supports pathways in cultural, community and social sectors where strong communication, research and analytical skills are valued.
