About the course
The Master of Social Work (Qualifying) is a postgraduate program that prepares graduates for professional social work practice. Delivered on campus at Fremantle or Sydney, it develops knowledge and skills to work ethically with individuals, families, groups and communities across diverse settings. The program combines academic study with practice-focused learning to support entry to the social work profession at master’s level. The programme develops advanced psychological assessment, intervention planning, and evidence-based practice for professional settings.
Career outcome
Graduates may work as qualified social workers in government, health and mental health services, community organisations, family and child services, aged care and disability support, schools and justice-related settings. Career paths can include roles such as caseworker, community development officer, family support worker, mental health social worker or program/project officer.
