About the course
This Master of Science (Medical Radiation Physics) is designed for physics graduates seeking current knowledge and technical expertise in radiation oncology and diagnostic imaging medical physics. You will study areas such as nuclear medicine, radiobiology and radiation protection, with practical classes and lectures delivered in hospital settings by practising medical physicists and academics. Strong clinical links and industry exposure support work-ready training in medical physics at Master level.
Career outcome
Graduates can pursue specialist roles across hospitals, health services, research organisations and government or industry laboratories where radiation science is applied. Career pathways include medical physicist and health physicist roles, radiation protection officer, molecular imaging specialist, accelerator or beamline scientist, and research associate positions. The degree also supports work in nuclear medicine and radiation therapy environments, building advanced capability in medical radiation physics at Master level.
