About the course

This major is one of the study streams within Curtin’s Bachelor of Science and focuses on the chemistry of living systems. You’ll build knowledge of core chemistry concepts and apply them to biological molecules, including medicinal and natural-product chemistry. The major also covers cell and molecular biology, genetics, metabolism and signalling, with options to specialise in Chemistry or Environmental Biology within a Bachelor-level science degree. The programme develops laboratory techniques, scientific writing, and analytical methods for research and industry settings.
