About the course
The Master of Political Economy examines how economic life is shaped by political, institutional, social, cultural and historical forces. You’ll explore competing theoretical traditions and use them to analyse markets, the state and households, with a strong emphasis on contemporary economic challenges and trends. The program is designed for students interested in rigorous social and policy analysis and research at master’s level in political economy.

Typical pathways include government and public policy agencies, think tanks, advocacy and international organisations, and research roles supporting social and economic reform.
