About the course
The Master of Philosophy in the Faculty of Engineering and Information Sciences is a research degree where you undertake supervised independent study and produce a substantial thesis. You will develop advanced research capability, critical analysis and project management skills while contributing new knowledge in your chosen area. This specialisation focuses on research in electrical, computer and telecommunications engineering at master’s by research level. The programme applies rigorous engineering research methods to address complex technical challenges and advance sustainable innovation.
Career outcome
Graduates are prepared for research-focused roles in industry and government, or for further study such as a PhD. Skills in designing and delivering rigorous research support careers in R&D, technology innovation, engineering analysis and specialist consultancy, as well as research support and technical leadership roles.
